The Stomer GD-180 Metal Grinding Disc is a heavy-duty abrasive wheel designed for grinding, deburring and surface preparation of metal components and structures. With a 180 mm diameter and 6 mm thickness, it is suitable for use with compatible angle grinders where controlled material removal and a stable grinding surface are required.
The disc uses aluminium oxide abrasive with a 30-grit specification, providing an effective balance between aggressive stock removal and controlled finishing. Its depressed-centre profile allows the grinder to be held at a practical working angle, making it suitable for smoothing welds, removing excess metal and preparing fabricated components for further finishing.
Designed for flange-mounted angle grinders with a standard 22.2 mm bore, the GD-180 is rated for a maximum rotational speed of 8500 rpm and a peripheral speed of up to 80 m/s. The wheel carries the marking 95A 30 Q BF, identifying its abrasive composition, grit and bonded construction.
